INTERSOURCE USES OWN METHODS TO SOLVE STAFFING PROBLEMS
Unemployment is soaring and so much time is wasted by employers who want to find the right candidates for the job. They spend precious time interviewing and reading resumes. InterSource Personnel Analytics Inc. wants to solve employers’ problems.
InterSource has established a way to find the best applicants in a stockpile or resumes. Tina Hamilton, president of InterSource says, "We are an alternative to a staffing service or a headhunter for those seeking to enhance the quality of their candidates and drastically reduce all associated costs."
The promise that Hamilton and her staff make to all clients is that they can reduce employee turnover and find clients what they need at a fraction of what it would cost them to hire on their own or, for that matter, by hiring an agency or a headhunter.
"Our client partners are businesses that are in need of relief from the pressures of maintaining a productive, motivated, and happy workforce," Hamilton says. Part of the pre-screening process is that potential employees are put through something called "Extended DISC" behavioral assessments, which measure the style in which they work, analysis of the work environment they are most suited for and an analysis of whether they work better in teams or on a one-to-one basis.
Results of the test are the major determinant in whether the candidate is assigned to a particular job, and it allows future employers to see what time of employee is coming into their workplace.
"Employers tend to hire the ‘best of the worst’ in order to satisfy their workforce needs. We try to reduce the high turnover, poor customer service, and lost revenues that are a result of that," says Hamilton.
Clients will also find the staff that works for InterSource is experienced and professional, and the owner of the company is hands-on with a firm understanding of small/medium sized businesses.
"We have only been in operation since late 2002 and we have more than exceeded our expected growth. We plan to double our staff size before the end of 2003," Hamilton says.
